ROBERT MORSE is a principal of Da Vinci Usability, a human factors
consulting firm specializing in user interface design, testing and
evaluation. He has over eighteen years of experience as human factors
expert in the computer industry. As part of Da Vinci Usability, Mr.
Morse has been responsible for pioneering work in the development
of workplace analysis methods, and the application of workplace analysis
to the design of computer systems. He also has extensive experience
conducting usability testing of both hardware and software systems.
His work at Da Vinci Usability has included projects for The Vanguard
Group, Nuance, Affinio Corporation, Bose Corporation, Cogentric, Digital
Equipment Corp., Monsanto, ESCA and SmartRoute Systems.
Before founding Da Vinci Usability, Mr. Morse was a Senior Human Factors
Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he developed expertise
in the field of usability testing, as well as video display and printer
human factors. He has authored papers on workplace analysis, video
display design, and on human factors and its involvement in the design
process. Mr. Morse has a B.S. in Engineering Psychology from Tufts
University and is a member of the Usability Professionals Association
